Bulk Carrier Day 2001: June 5, 2001- Fifty exhibitors and nearly 300 representatives from the nation's leading bulk transportation companies gathered in Edison, N.J., June 5 for the 34th Bulk Carrier Day. Meeting once again at the Pines Manor in Edison, attendees began the afternoon's activities by viewing the various trucks and bulk trailers on display. An evening cocktail reception and formal banquet capped off the daylong events. During the banquet, Bulk Carrier Day committee members announced their annual chartable donations, which this year were awarded to St. Barnabas Burn Foundation, Deborah Hospital Foundation and Seaman's Church. As part of the exhibition activities, 12 companies won awards in the trailer competition including Venezia. Venezia placed 1st for outstanding equipment. Venezia wishes to thank Owner Operator Rob Bruner and Company Driver Ken Kozack for taking the time to polish up their rig and trailer for this special day.
