February 1, 2000 -- Venezia Transport Service, Inc. has named the charter members of its Emerald Club, recognizing 40 drivers as top performers in 1999 and awarding them additional rewards on top of cash incentives already earned for reaching monthly targets throughout the year. Emerald Club incentives are awarded at three levels Gold, Silver and Bronze to drivers who meet Venezias monthly attendance, safe driving and customer service standards. Drivers reach the Gold Medal level for hitting incentive targets in all 12 months. The Silver Medal level is reached when performance goals are met in 11 of 12 months, and Bronze Medal awards are given for those qualifying in 10 of 12 months in a calendar year. According to Executive Vice President Andrew Venezia, 23 drivers earned the top Gold Medal award valued at $500, while 11 earned the $350 Silver Medal and six reached the Clubs $200 Bronze Medal plateau. "The Emerald Club program is designed to recognize and reward drivers who, on a daily basis, are the top performers in terms of their commitment to our standards for customer service and safety," Venezia said. Drivers who earned Emerald Club rewards also received the companys standard monthly incentives for each month that incentive goals were met. Drivers receive their Emerald Club rewards at a company awards ceremony in February. Drivers operating out of Venezias terminals in Nazareth, PA, Evansville, PA, Port Norris, NJ, New Middletown, OH, Louisville, KY and Limerick, PA were eligible for the Emerald Club as well as the standard company incentive program.
